Formal Trace Verification (loopers verify)

Loopers provides an offline compliance verification CLI (loopers verify) designed for shift-left governance, CI/CD regression gates, and post-mortem incident analysis.

While the Loopers proxy functions as a real-time Policy Enforcement Point (PEP) during live traffic, loopers verify allows developers and security teams to deterministically audit historical execution traces (.json) against Declarative YAML Policy Cards, built-in security presets (safety, safety_drift, pci, mcp_sandbox, zero_trust), or custom Open Policy Agent (OPA/Rego) rules without needing a running proxy server or active Redis instance.


Key Use Cases

  1. Automated CI/CD Quality Gates: Audit agent evaluation runs in GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or local test suites before deploying prompt or tool changes to production.
  2. Multi-Turn Goal Drift Auditing: Detect gradual or sudden goal hijacking in multi-turn agent conversation traces.
  3. Deterministic FSM Path Sequence Gating: Prove that multi-step constraints (e.g. execute_bash must be preceded by dry_run_command) were never violated throughout the agent's trajectory.
  4. Zero-Storage Compliance Auditing: Audit exported session logs offline while preserving Loopers' lightweight Zero-Storage model on disk.
